Makeitalia goes digital with a new website

After months of planning, collaboration and development, we are pleased to announce the launch of the new Makeitalia website.

This project was created with a clear objective: to communicate who we are, what we do, and the value we create every day alongside the companies that choose us as their partner for Supply Chain optimization.

More than just a new visual identity, the new website represents an evolution in the way we present ourselves, share our expertise and tell the story of a journey that, for over twenty years, has seen us supporting businesses through their most complex challenges.

A website that reflects Makeitalia’s evolution

Over the years, Makeitalia has continued to grow, expanding its expertise, services and areas of specialization.

This growth inspired the need for a digital space capable of reflecting this evolution, highlighting not only our areas of expertise, but also the methodology, approach and people that make every project possible.

The new website has been designed to provide a more intuitive user experience and easier access to content, enabling clients, partners and professionals to quickly find the information and insights most relevant to them.

A project built around people

One of the guiding principles behind the creation of the new website was the desire to tell the Makeitalia story in a genuine and authentic way.

For this reason, many of the images and multimedia contents featured throughout the website were created directly within our company through a dedicated photo shoot and video production involving many of our colleagues.

This approach allowed us to showcase the most authentic side of our organization: the people who, every day, contribute with expertise, passion and teamwork to the success of our projects and the growth of our clients.

Because Makeitalia is, first and foremost, made up of people.

More space for expertise, projects and insights

he new website offers a more comprehensive overview of our activities and the solutions we provide to companies.

Key highlights include:

  • A clearer presentation of our areas of expertise;
  • Enhanced visibility of our consulting, temporary management, outsourcing and training services;
  • Dedicated space for case studies and project experiences;
  • An insights section featuring articles and content related to Supply Chain topics;
  • An optimized browsing experience across all devices.

Our goal is to provide an increasingly valuable resource for professionals and organizations looking to explore challenges, opportunities and best practices in Supply Chain management and improvement.

A team effort

Behind this project lies months of collaboration, shared ideas and contributions from different areas of the company.

Special thanks go to the Marketing Team, which led and coordinated every stage of the project, and to all colleagues who contributed with enthusiasm, availability and commitment to the creation of its contents.

The new website is the result of a collective effort that reflects Makeitalia’s identity and our commitment to continuing to evolve alongside our clients and partners.

Supply Chain Challenge: what is it?

The fifth edition of the Supply Chain Challenge, the initiative conceived and promoted by Makeitalia, officially concluded on September 15 at the Modena Golf & Country Club. Each year, the competition engages Master’s degree students in Management Engineering from across Italy in an immersive learning experience focused on the world of Supply Chain management.

Over more than eight months of qualification rounds, students competed through the Supply Chain Game, the training tool developed by Makeitalia that recreates operational and decision-making scenarios inspired by the real dynamics that characterize supply chains. At the end of the competition journey, the best teams secured a place in the Finals, where the 2026 Italian Supply Chain Champions were officially crowned.

The Supply Chain Challenge was created with the goal of bringing young talents closer to the increasingly complex challenges of Supply Chain management, offering them a practical and highly professional learning experience in which teamwork, adaptability and strategic thinking are essential factors for achieving concrete results.

The 2026 Italian Supply Chain Champions

At the end of the competition, the three teams that stood out for their performance, management capabilities, and strategic approach were awarded.

For the third consecutive year, the title of 2026 Italian Supply Chain Champions was awarded to the University of Padua DTG, represented by the team composed of Alessandro Levorato, Michele Piva and Sara Scattin.

The silver medal went to Anna Borello and Alessio Luchetta from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, while the bronze medal was awarded to a second team from the University of Padua DTG, composed of Francesco Bigarella, Carlo Businaro and Davide Lucchin.

A bridge between Universities, Businesses and Local Communities

The Finals represent an important opportunity for interaction between the academic world and the business community.

The event was attended by the partner companies of the fifth edition, namely Banco BPM, Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A., DSV – Global Transport and Logistics, and Ferrari, which shared their experiences, expertise, and insights with students on the challenges that currently characterize Supply Chain management and other key issues within their respective industries.

In addition, the participation of representatives from local institutions and business associations was particularly significant, including Marco Casolari, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Formigine; Riccardo Monti, Head of Environment, Safety, Energy and Territory at Confindustria Emilia Area Centro; and Davide Baruffi, Regional Councillor for Strategic Planning and Implementation of the Emilia-Romagna Regional Programme. Their presence highlights the importance of a strong local and institutional network in supporting the professional development that today’s job market increasingly requires.

Talent and meritocracy to tackle the challenges of the future

Among the key topics discussed during the event, particular attention was given to the increasingly strategic role of skills related to Supply Chain Management and the need to invest in the next generation of professionals.

In a sector that continues to evolve rapidly and faces a growing demand for specialized expertise, identifying and nurturing talent is a fundamental driver of business competitiveness and the development of the economic system as a whole.

Talent, meritocracy, teamwork, and collaboration were the core values that inspired the entire initiative, encapsulated in the 2026 edition’s motto:

“The best talents to overcome global Supply Chain challenges. Together.“

This message was also reinforced by Marcello Carretta, Co-Founder of Makeitalia, who highlighted the importance of collaboration between universities and companies in developing educational pathways capable of preparing the professionals of tomorrow.

Looking ahead

With over 1,200 students involved, 24 participating universities, and a growing network of partner companies and institutions, the Supply Chain Challenge continues to fulfil its mission: identifying and nurturing talent while serving as a concrete bridge between universities, businesses, and local communities.

A mission that, year after year, continues to strengthen these connections, preparing new generations for the challenges that lie ahead in future supply chains and contributing to the development of the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly complex and global economic landscape.

Makeitalia Turns 18: A Story That Continues to Look Ahead

There are milestones that mark a history. For Makeitalia, 2026 is one of them: 18 years of concrete projects, celebrated together with its people on the occasion of the traditional Makeitalia Summer Party, held last Friday, June 26, in the suggestive setting of Villa Cesi, in the province of Modena. An evening that was much more than a corporate event, becoming the symbol of a journey made of growth, shared challenges, and results built over time.

A Look at Makeitalia

An important birthday that tells the evolution of Makeitalia: today a benchmark partner for companies in Supply Chain Management, capable of accompanying them through transformation and supply chain optimization journeys, with an eye always toward the future.

In this context, 2025 also fits in, a year of stability closed with a turnover of approximately 19 million euros. A result that does not just represent economic performance, but confirms the company’s ability to grow while maintaining balance, strategic consistency, and a long-term vision.

In recent years, and with even greater strength in 2025, Makeitalia has accelerated the development of its expertise in the field of Digital Supply Chain and Supply Chain AI, accompanying companies toward increasingly advanced, integrated, and data-driven operating models. From the digitalization of processes to the design of solutions based on artificial intelligence, the goal is to make the Supply Chain not only more efficient but also more resilient, predictive, and sustainable. A concrete path, made of projects and measurable results, that positions Makeitalia as an increasingly relevant player in Supply Chain innovation.

At the same time, the company continues to carry forward with determination its commitment to ESG issues, integrating sustainability and responsibility into strategies and operations. From the evolution of the photovoltaic system to the introduction of eco-sustainable solutions in production and logistics areas, to supporting the local entrepreneurial fabric and promoting inclusive organizational models, Makeitalia confirms an approach in which growth and positive impact go hand in hand.

If there is one element that, after 18 years, remains central, it is people. The milestone celebrated at the Makeitalia Summer Party is, above all, the result of the work and passion of the team, which over the years has contributed to building a solid and distinctive corporate culture. In 2025 as well, Makeitalia continued to invest in the development of its human capital through structured paths of training, growth, and continuous dialogue, strengthening a dynamic, meritocratic, and well-being-oriented work environment. Organizational flexibility policies, including remote work and flexible hours, along with the arrival of new talent, confirm the company’s desire to evolve, keeping the value of people and the quality of internal relationships at the center.

Eighteen years represent a key moment from which to continue building the path to come. A fundamental step that opens new paths for growth and innovation. In a constantly transforming market, Makeitalia continues to build its future with an approach that integrates innovation, responsibility, and strategic vision.

Statements

“Reaching 18 years is a deeply significant milestone for us, which we wanted to celebrate together with our people, the beating heart of the company. It is thanks to them, but also to our customers and partners, that today we can look back with pride and forward with ambition. Over the years, we have built expertise, relationships, and stability, continuing to innovate – especially in the field of Digital Supply Chain and Artificial Intelligence – without losing sight of what really matters: people. This anniversary is not just a celebration, but a new start toward the challenges that await us.,” comments Marcello Carretta, founding partner of Makeitalia.

Makeitalia’s “Oscar Night” at the Historic Cinema Arena in Modena

Thursday, December 11, in the evocative setting of the Cinema Rinnovato Arena, Makeitalia celebrated its annual Convention together with 130 collaborators and numerous guests for the traditional year-end dinner. A gala evening designed to bid farewell to 2025, welcome the new year, and reward the company’s top talents.

Makeitalia 2025 Convention, Makeitalia’s “Oscar Night”

The Event

This year, the event took on a special title: “Oscars Makeitalia Night,” a tribute to the location and the cinematic theme that characterized the evening. The choice of the cinema was not accidental: the world of the big screen offers numerous parallels with corporate reality, including:

  • the complexity of carrying out a consulting project, similar to the production dynamics of a film;
  • the creation of a project team, which requires the same care and attention as a producer in selecting the cast and staff;
  • the fundamental role of every participant, essential for the final success;
  • the importance of communication, for a company as much as for a film production house.

The Convention represents a key moment for Makeitalia: retracing the milestones of the year just ended and outlining the guidelines for the future. The evening concluded with the presentation of the Makeitalia “Oscar Awards,” a symbol of meritocracy and the celebration of talent, values that have always been central to the company.

There was no shortage of team building moments: cinema-themed quizzes and escape boxes involved participants in experiential activities, culminating in the creation of a common message that reaffirmed the link between the cinematic and corporate worlds.

The evening closed with the traditional Christmas dinner.

Statements

“To conclude this 2025, we wanted to give our Convention a special touch. The Makeitalia team did a great job this year and deserved a celebration to match. ‘Oscar Night’ was the perfect opportunity to reflect on how much the world of cinema and that of consulting have in common. Now we are ready to face 2026 with even more enthusiasm and new ideas,” stated Marcello Carretta, Partner at Makeitalia.

Supply Chain Challenge: What Is It?

It is a National Supply Chain Championship, involving approximately 1,200 Master’s students in Management Engineering every year. A tournament among Italian universities, whose mission is to identify future supply chain professionals through collaborative and strategic work. A challenge created by Makeitalia, which bears the name Supply Chain Challenge.

The final match was held on September 16, 2025, at the Modena Golf & Country Club – once again – the playing field for the 77 finalist players from the 21 Italian universities where the competitions were held throughout the year: Parma, Florence, Padua, Naples (Parthenope), Bergamo, Cosenza, Cassino, Rome (La Sapienza), Rome (Tor Vergata), Trento, Milan, Brescia, Udine, Turin, Siena, Palermo, Pisa, Naples (Federico II), Bari, Bologna, Modena, and Reggio Emilia.
A heated challenge among the 1,200 students, which lasted from November 2024 until June 2025.

The 77 finalist students engaged with the management of a supply chain through the Supply Chain Game, a training tool designed by Makeitalia, which allows them to experience in practice the entire process that a supply chain professional must be able to handle.
In this context, in order to reach the final goal, the players implemented the best strategies through efficient teamwork and optimal management of critical issues.

At the end of the competition, Makeitalia management and Maria Costi, President of the V Assembly Commission of the Emilia-Romagna Region, declared the victory of the three winning teams of the fourth edition of the Supply Chain Challenge, who were able to maneuver with mastery during the challenges, obtaining excellent results. The following universities were on the podium: gold medal for players Alberto Cazzoli, Emanuele Renucci, and Giovanni Sinigaglia from the University of Padua; silver medal for players Federico Dominici, Elena Grazzini, and Pietro Palagi from the University of Siena; and finally, bronze medal for players Youssef Hadir, Mattia Torresi, and Giuseppe Tortora from the University of Parma.

The Finals on September 16 also saw the active participation of the partner companies of the fourth edition: Dallara, DSV – Global Transport and Logistics, and Oltre Solutions. Leading companies in the automotive, logistics, and technology sectors, they promoted and shared the core values of the Supply Chain Challenge – innovation, team spirit, meritocracy, and excellence – as well as offered the finalist students the opportunity to interface with leading Supply Chain figures through interactive and practical workshops. An important opportunity for engagement with the professional world, capable of enriching their professional background.

The fourth edition of the Supply Chain Challenge comes to an end, making way for a brand new chapter, the fifth, which will open in October 2025.

Makeitalia: Upward Growth Curve and New Milestones Achieved

2024 financial statements approved for the Modena-based company with revenues exceeding 19 million euros

Modena, July 14, 2025 – A leading company in the Supply Chain Management sector, Makeitalia has continued to expand its client network, recording a turnover of 19.4 million euros in the year 2024. A significant result that reflects the ever-increasing quality of the services offered to clients by the Modena-based company, capable of building ad hoc solutions in line with market needs.

Statements

“It was a year in which we saw significant growth with excellent results, despite an extremely complex and constantly changing external environment. We managed to maintain the ability to be flexible and adapt to continuous market developments: a fundamental characteristic in recent years.”

A Look at the Year 2024

Innovation, efficiency, and cutting-edge tools continue to guide Makeitalia’s internal choices toward increasingly sustainable and inclusive growth. This is thanks to the extensive attention paid to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues and the consolidation of activities implemented last year, such as: expansion of the corporate photovoltaic system, installation of eco-sustainable equipment in the production and logistics area, social commitment, support for local businesses, attention to gender equality, and new governance control systems.
This consolidation is also reflected externally and guarantees ever-greater optimization of the ESG services offered to companies, especially those related to the supply chain.
The year 2024 also saw an increase in the Digital sphere – where the exponential progress of the Smart Factory represents a tangible example – a new and innovative piece that proves Makeitalia’s ever-increasing growth curve.

People are the engine of Makeitalia, the future of the company. Based on this principle, every year the Modena-based company invests in human capital which, during 2024, was consolidated and welcomed 29 new hires. There is no lack of constant attention toward building a stimulating, dynamic, and meritocratic work environment that promotes common well-being and encourages strong internal cohesion. To allow for a proper balance between professional and private life, Makeitalia introduced several innovations some years ago, including: flexible hours and the extension of remote working. Furthermore, upon reaching the 2024 turnover targets, it rewarded its staff through the provision of performance-based welfare, aimed at recognizing the commitment shown in achieving common goals.

Conclusions

“We never lose our focus and care for our people: the company’s true resource. We aim to have increasingly updated and modern tools to support the growth and stability of our structure.”
