The history of Makeitalia

Consolidated experience in Supply Chain Management

In 2008, the three founding partners created the company they had always sought but never found on the market, positioning themselves not as suppliers but as partners to their clients. This gave rise to an entity composed of individuals capable not only of indicating development directions and solutions to client problems, but also of guiding them along the chosen path, implementing ideas.

The three founding partners

Marcello Carretta
Partner

Born in Padua, he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Padua. He received a scholarship and spent an academic year at UCSB (California – USA). He earned an MBA from CUOA. He began his career at Ferrari in Maranello, where he held various roles over time: Purchasing Business Controller, Supplier Quality Manager (Ferrari and Maserati), and Industrial Factors Manager. Later, he was a Manager at Accenture. Co-founder of Makeitalia.

Roberto Ferrari
Partner

Born in Legnago (VR), he graduated with a degree in Management Engineering from the University of Bologna. After an experience at a software house, he joined Ferrari as Head of Process Engineering and Industrial Logistics. Subsequently, he moved to Aermec, where he led Planning and Lean Supply Chain projects. Co-founder of Makeitalia, he is an expert in operations, logistics, and information systems.

Francesco Tonolo
Partner

Born in Venice, he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Padua. After an experience in purchasing and procurement at Aprilia, he joined Ferrari as a buyer and subsequently became head of all industrial sector purchases. Following this, he gained experience as a worldwide purchasing coordinator at Magneti Marelli. Co-founder of Makeitalia, he is an expert in purchasing and managing Italian and foreign suppliers.
