Modena, 28 August 2025 – Makeitalia Press Release
Qualification Phase Concluded for the Fourth Edition of the National Supply Chain Championship
Now Awaiting the Kick-Off of the Final Challenge Among Italian Universities
Supply Chain Challenge is the first National Championship in the field of Supply Chain, where the best talents from Italian universities compete to become the future professionals of the supply chain.
Created by Makeitalia – a Modena-based company recognised in the Supply Chain Management sector for over 16 years – the Supply Chain Challenge stands as the Italian tournament of innovation, strategy and collaboration among Master’s students in Management Engineering.
During the Qualification Phase, around 1,200 participants had the opportunity to experience the management of a real supply chain through the Supply Chain Game, a training and simulation tool developed by Makeitalia.
Across 21 matches, held from November 2024 to June 2025, the competition took place at universities located in the following Italian cities: Parma, Florence, Padua, Naples (Parthenope), Bergamo, Cosenza, Cassino, Rome (La Sapienza), Rome (Tor Vergata), Trento, Milan, Brescia, Udine, Turin, Siena, Palermo, Pisa, Naples (Federico II), Bari, Bologna, Modena and Reggio Emilia.
The 77 finalist students from the 21 participating universities are now preparing for the upcoming Finals, which will take place in Modena on 16 September 2025, at the prestigious Modena Golf & Country Club, where the new Italian Champions of the Fourth Edition will be crowned.
Innovation, teamwork, meritocracy and excellence are some of the core values underpinning the National Supply Chain Championship – values that fully reflect Makeitalia’s strong commitment to supporting young talent and professional development.
These same principles are shared by the partner companies Dallara, DSV – Global Transport and Logistics and Oltre Solutions, which will attend the final event and support students throughout the last challenge.
This initiative is not only a collaborative and enriching experience, but also a bridge between the academic and professional worlds – a launchpad from which students can begin to build their future careers.
“Every year, we give Management Engineering students the opportunity to put themselves to the test and demonstrate their capabilities in managing supply chains using the Supply Chain Game — an advanced simulation tool developed by Makeitalia.
We believe that the Supply Chain Challenge is a powerful training ground where today’s graduates train to become tomorrow’s top Supply Chain professionals.
It represents the perfect combination of education and professionalism, opportunity and achievement, present and future.
Makeitalia is committed, every year, to making a difference by contributing real and concrete value to each student’s skill set.
We are proud to have completed, with dedication, the fourth edition of the Supply Chain Challenge across 21 national universities throughout 2025.
Now, we eagerly await the Finals on 16 September, where the new Italian Supply Chain Champions will be crowned.”
