First National Supply Chain Championship among Italian Universities
WHAT IS THE SUPPLY CHAIN CHALLENGE?
The Makeitalia Supply Chain Challenge is the National Supply Chain Championship, engaging the main Italian Master’s degree programmes in Industrial Engineering.
This initiative originates from Makeitalia, an operator in Supply Chain Management for over 15 years.
The Supply Chain Challenge was created with the objective of realising professional opportunities for top talent, offering future Supply Chain professionals the chance to test themselves with the management of a “real supply chain”, via a training- and simulation-based tool developed by Makeitalia: the Supply Chain Game.

2025 EDITION FIGURES
The fourth edition of the Supply Chain Challenge included an initial Qualification phase (from November 2024 through June 2025) comprising 21 stages. Among roughly 1,200 students involved, the final battle was held on 16 September 2025 in Modena, featuring the top 77 talents.

The championship crowned the Italian Champion Team 2025: the team from Università degli Studi di Padova (Alberto Cazzoli, Emanuele Renucci, Giovanni Sinigaglia).
In second place: the team from Università degli Studi di Siena (Federico Dominici, Elena Grazzini, Pietro Palagi). Third place: the team from Università degli Studi di Parma (Youssef Hadir, Mattia Torresi, Giuseppe Tortora).
Also present at the event and taking part in the awards ceremony was Maria Costi, President of Assembly Commission V (Youth, School, Training, Work, Sport and Legality) of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
2025 EDITION PARTNERS
The event also provided students a unique opportunity to engage with the business world, thanks to the collaboration between Makeitalia and the initiative’s partner companies. These firms share the foundational principles of the Supply Chain Challenge (merit, excellence and innovation) and actively participate in the Finals, making available their Supply Chain Managers to finalists through interactive, practical workshops.
