On Thursday 16 December 2021, the third stage of the Makeitalia Supply Chain Challenge – Italian League 21-22 took place, the Italian Supply Chain Championship reserved for students of the Master’s Degree Courses in Management Engineering.
The event stopped at the University of Bergamo, involving the students of the Integrated Logistics Systems Course, run by Professor Roberto Pinto.
“The interest in the use of games stems from the observation of how some fundamental concepts are often difficult to convey effectively, in a purely theoretical environment. Students need a way to directly experience their own approach to problems and see the results of their actions / decisions in a safe context and, at the same time, comparable to working reality”, commented the Professor.
“It was an interesting and formative experience. It was possible to see how to apply some concepts seen in the classroom in an integrated way”, added Nicola Peruzzi, one of the students involved in the qualifying phase on December 16th.
The match decreed the winners of the University of Bergamo. The team that won the first place will compete, in a final phase, with the winning teams of other Italian universities involved in the Championship!
Special thanks to the students who participated in the challenge and to Professor Roberto Pinto.
