Yesterday, 14 July 2022, Makeitalia inaugurated its new headquarters in Modena.

A ribbon cutting in the presence of all employees, customers, suppliers, press and institutions: in particular the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region Stefano Bonaccini and the Mayor of Modena Gian Carlo Muzzarelli.

A particularly important moment for Makeitalia, a leader in Supply Chain Management for over 14 years, understood as the management and optimization of the supply chain. A crucial activity of every manufacturing company that covers the areas of Purchasing, Planning, Logistics, Quality and for which Makeitalia has become a reference point on the national market and beyond.

The Supply Chain is today more than ever a crucial aspect for companies. A highly topical issue in a context shaken by various tensions, starting with the pandemic and the war.

Makeitalia has made the Supply Chain its core business since its foundation in 2008.

The inauguration concerned the new company spaces located in Via Jan Palach, 55 in Modena. A modern plant of almost 3,000 square meters, with environmental characteristics, energy consumption and state-of-the-art comfort. All to underline the important development of the company: from an office of only 3 people to its foundation to over 110 people in 2022. A significant transition moment, which also marks Makeitalia’s strong desire to be increasingly rooted in the fabric Modenese.

The new headquarters offers both offices and production spaces, in order to best offer all the services that Makeitalia is able to provide: a new logistics area that further strengthens the desire to offer its customers concrete solutions and the opportunity to be at their side not only to manage the entire Supply Chain or part of it from the point of view of processes, methods and skills, but also of flows and physical components.

Not only. The company’s new Training Center was also inaugurated, the Supply Chain Academy, created to offer companies training courses in the Supply Chain area.

A new headquarters and larger offices will also give the opportunity to implement the important growth plan planned for the next three years: a team that aims to double the number of people at the end of 2024, reaching 200 people.

A special thanks goes to all the people who contributed to this important goal for Makeitalia and to all those present at yesterday’s evening!

The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia joins the Supply Chain competition, launched by Makeitalia.
On Tuesday 28 June 2022, the students of the Master’s Degree Course in Management Engineering challenged each other to the Supply Chain Game, during the Integrated Logistic Systems course of Professor Rita Gamberini.

The University, therefore, joins the race, which has already begun, towards the Finals September 21-22, the final tournament of the Makeitalia Supply Chain Challenge in which the best teams of the participating Italian universities will compete to win the title of national champions.

The protagonists of the day of June 28 showed a great appreciation for the experience, considering the Game an excellent tool to apply the knowledge acquired during the university years and a precious opportunity to try their hand at something practical and more concrete.
Benedetta Ferrari, one of the students involved in the game, commented: “Beyond the theory studied in the various university courses, we were able to touch real situations – albeit simplified – and appreciate the actual complexity of managing the logistics chain. It was very interesting and, in my opinion, this experience also gives many food for thought on the strategies chosen. Even from mistakes you learn a lot “.

We thank the students of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia who took part in the challenge and to Professor Rita Gamberini!

The race towards the final phase of the event continues.. which team will be the absolute winner of the first edition of the Makeitalia Supply Chain Challenge?
