Conductor Beatrice Venezi guest at the Makeitalia Business Convention

Yesterday, Tuesday 21 December 2021, Makeitalia organized the company convention online with its over one hundred employees.
The December convention represents an important annual event during which the whole team shares the goals achieved during the year and launches those for the next.
During the event, the objectives achieved in terms of turnover and people following the hires during the year were seen. For both, the company’s historical records were achieved.

Furthermore, the convention was an opportunity to launch the new three-year business plan which provides for a very ambitious increase and many organizational innovations, but not only. One of these concerns the construction of a new company headquarters in Modena which will be operational in 2022.

Francesco Tonolo, one of the founding members, spoke of the past year and the new projects: “2019-2021. A three-year period that has changed our way of working, but in which we have continued to carry out many activities with dedication and commitment . We are a reference for activities related to the Supply Chain and we see it from the recognition that the market is giving us: a true and only reliable indicator. After the slowdown caused by the pandemic, we have resumed significant growth, reaching the record for turnover and hiring. Now a new cycle is opening up for which we are ready!

Conductor Beatrice Venezi attended the Makeitalia event, as a special guest.
Beatrice Venezi is one of the youngest conductors in Europe. He has achieved many successes, conducting orchestras all over the world.
The Maestro concluded the event with valuable contributions for the Makeitalia team: “For me, music is the language that allows me to express myself in the most complete way possible. Music manages to go beyond the meaning we give to a single word. Classical music is a more complex musical genre than others. For me it is the greatest dimension of music“.

Regarding the organization of an orchestra, Venezi added: “An orchestra is hierarchically organized. At the head is the director. Immediately after the so-called ‘shoulder’, the first violin. Real point of contact between conductor and orchestra. The shoulder coordinates in a hierarchical manner with the first parts of the various sections of the orchestra. The roles and skills of individuals are respected, but the coordination aspect remains fundamental. Furthermore, the conductor has the task of creating a ‘common conscience’“.

Imported parallels with a business organization.

Another special thanks to Beatrice Venezi for the exclusive participation.

Makeitalia is ready to seize the next challenges and opportunities of the new year, always alongside its customers and in the name of excellence and concreteness, key aspects that have characterized the company in the field of Supply Chain Management, since 2008.

On Monday 13 December 2021, the second stage of the Makeitalia Supply Chain Challenge – Italian League 21-22 took place, the Italian Supply Chain Championship reserved for students of the Master’s Degree Courses in Management Engineering.

The event stopped at the University of Calabria, involving the students of Professor Francesca Guerriero’s Production Management and Control Course.

I believe that participation in the Supply Chain Game represented an important moment for students: it allowed participants to put into practice the concepts and techniques they study in the production management and control course, with particular reference to order management and to the management of materials stocks. The Game also represented a test bench for the skills acquired in terms of soft skills: problem solving and team working. The guys got very passionate. I therefore consider the initiative to be very formative and interesting, to be proposed again for sure next year. Now we just have to work to win the competition at the national level”, commented Professor Warrior.

It was a very interesting experience as we were finally able to touch what is a possible real case, with the difficulties and the various unforeseen events that may arise“, added Alessia Ventrici, student involved in the qualifying phase of the 13 December.

The match decreed the winners who will compete, in a final phase, with the winning teams of other Italian universities involved in the Championship!

Special thanks to the students who participated in the challenge and to Professor Francesca Guerriero.
